About
Meet Chanta

I graduated with a B.A. in English from Rutgers University. I also hold a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School.

After working as an associate lawyer for several years, I served as a Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. I was an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Coordinator there, as well. I also previously held the role of Associate Director of EEO/AA for a large New York City hospital. In addition to my legal background, I served as a Human Resources Consultant for a HR and Business Consulting Company.
I took my experience, credentials, and passion for community building and launched my own consulting firm. Since then, I have worked with clients from a variety of industries, both nonprofit and corporate. Their work spans construction, banking, healthcare, the arts, environmental services, education, and more. I empower clients to achieve their potential and meet their goals.

I am also deeply committed to nonprofit board service as a way to strengthen communities and expand access to resources and opportunities. I serve as Chair of the Delaware Community Foundation and as a board member of the Lewes Public Library and Delaware Public Media. In addition, I’m honored to serve as an Advisor to the Martha’s Vineyard Black Book Festival.

My Values
-
Holistic Expertise
Employees have a variety of skills and interests beyond their immediate job description. Taking that into account will make an organization stronger. As you empower people to lean into their strengths, they grow along with the business.

-
People-Focused
People spend more time at work than just about anywhere else. They want to spend time in a place where they belong and can make an impact. Keeping an organization focused on the people who make it up creates a powerful work environment.

-
Community Impact
For an organization to succeed, it must engage with those around it and help lift people up. It’s possible to build something much stronger and lasting when a community engages in collaboration.
